One great career tool you need

As the university semester begins to come to a close for the holiday period, many students are participating in vacationer or internship programs for the break. Alongside programs such as these, Forage’s virtual work experience programs replicate work at top companies and connect students to the companies themselves. In just hours, students can learn relevant tools and skills necessary to complete tasks that replicate an employee’s work day. Students can choose from 250+ programs, from 125+ employers across 20+ career areas.

Forage is a really great place to get a snack-sized introduction to different jobs and learn about what actually goes on at these companies. Not only do you gain a better understanding of the diverse and exciting career pathways available to you, but you also build the skills and confidence that will set you up for success as you move from the world of study to the world of work.

There are many more programs to choose from, offered by companies such as Accenture, ANZ, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Commonwealth Bank, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase & Co., KPMG, Mastercard, PwC, Red Bull, Telstra, Visa, and many more!

I highly recommend trying out a program or two, whether you’re interested in tech, finance, healthcare, consulting, law, human resources or some other field. There’s something for everyone!

🃏Quick Extra

A bonus from me

My new password is Hello84April-Pepsi-XXXVn2by7Windy🌖madagascarNf4+🐔Au🏋️🏋️🏋️iamloved.

So how did I come up with that password?

Through The Password Game, a fun project created by coder Neal Agarwal. It starts off pretty simple with you coming up with a password. The first 4 rules are your most basic: 5 characters long, a number, uppercase letter, and a symbol. But it only goes downhill from there…

You have to include the next best chess move in algebraic notation (Nf4+), fill in the daily Wordle (Windy), complete a CAPTCHA (n2by7), determine the current moon phase in emoji (🌖), determine your location through GeoGuessr (Madagascar), and many more tasks.

I’m sure you can see why my password is so complicated by now. There’s a total of 35 rules which slowly come up 1 by 1. Unfortunately, I only got up to Rule 24 which was to “include the URL of 34 minute 58 second long Youtube video”. Not because I couldn’t find a video, but because I couldn’t feed a chicken (called Peter) fast enough with 🐛 emojis which ended my game (Rule 23).

…and that’s all for this month’s edition of The Early Impact. Feel free to hit 'reply' and let me know how I did!

Cheers,

Noah
